Black and white drawing of a tiger cub's face with a mane. The tiger is looking directly forward with a serious expression.

Veronica Hawman is a classically trained artist working in charcoal, oil, and other dry mediums in a realistic style. She draws and paints primarily portraits, still life, and welcomes commissions of both. Her artistic journey began at a young age. Professionally, after years of leading nonprofit organizations in mission-centered work, her artistic pursuit has been recently restored.

Her art practice focuses on skills learned through the age-old Atelier method – artistic instruction passed from Master Painter to student. Heavily influenced by her undergraduate architecture education, the influence of classical realism, and her work in philanthropy, the human condition - replication of nature - life, emotion, and realism is a central theme throughout her work.

She finds fine art creation to be infinitely fascinating and challenging. The reward is personal. Creating it but also owning it. That said, she hopes that she can create some work of art that you will also enjoy!
